Tyler Cannon is a name that not many people have been paying attention to in the Indians system, but he's quietly becoming a factor in the system, both offensively and defensively. The Lake County offensive crew seems to be back on track and loaded for bear, led by some pesky infielder named Lindor. At the top of the charts on Wednesday night is one of my favorite players in the system...if only the Indians would feel the same way...

Jared Goedert continues to do everything offensively you could want from a minor leaguer, and plays multiple positions. Cody Allen continues to dominate at a high level...well...at every level. T.J. House continued his comeback story in grand fashion this season. The top spot of ATF goes to a kid who has completely forgot about the month of April, when several questioned whether or not he was even a legit prospect. Check out just WHO that is, after the jump...

Todd Hankins had a first for ATF tonight. He's the first guy to get into the top three without playing in the field, and without getting an at bat. Chris Seddon got into the top three tonight by pitching a perfect game through six innings before giving up his first hit. The top guy got in for just dominating over the past couple of months in Akron...and without ever being thought of as a top prospect. Find out who that is, after the jump...

While I'd love to throw up some mystery opener to my birthday edition of ATF, why would I even bother. Sure, some kid went 4-for-4 in Lake County, with his seventh dinger. Sure, some kid hit his 12th homer in Carolina, and a grand slam to boot. But the story of the night was Giovanni Soto, who pitched his first career no-hitter for Akron. It doesn't get any batter than that. Of course, who were those other two cats? Find out, after the jump...

Can Joseph Colon lay claim to being the best starter in the Indians minor league organization? With Jordan Smith showcasing new power and the same ole' reliable stick, is he becoming a top ten sorta prospect? Is Jorge Martinez about to burst upon the scene as an offensive superstar? Did the guy who went toe-to-toe with Dylan Bundy last night, and won, get the top spot at ATF? Tune in, after the jump, to find out.

Strong pitching was on display at the upper levels of the Tribe's minor league system Friday. Jeanmar Gomez made his third start for the Columbus Clippers. When we last saw him with the Cleveland Indians, he seemed to show a lack of confidence, but was that the case on Friday? Read on to see.

It wasn't a great night for the Indians minor league affiliates, as every single team experienced a loss on Thursday. Despite the carnage in the standings, there were plenty of great performances up and down the system last night. There was Jordan Smith showing off some power and T.J. House bouncing back in Akron. But the top spot goes to someone who hasn't been seen by many, but will become a household name before too much longer. Find out who he is (and start learning his name) inside.

Triple and Double A both played their all-star games on Wednesday Night, as several members of the Aeros and Clippers played, with mixed results. Aaron Siliga and Charlie Valerio continued their hot play at Mahoning Valley, while Jake Lowery is starting to rebound a bit in Lake County. The guy at the top of ATF isn't unfamiliar with his perch, but it's been awhile. He'll introduce himself...after the jump...

In today's special edition of Around the Farm will take a look at some of this season’s exceptional players in all of the extended levels of the system, from Low A Lake County through Triple A Columbus. Some of your old favorites will definitely be making an appearance, from that Quad A guy from Columbus, to some 18-year old in Lake County? Who else makes the ATF's mid-season banquet? Join Jim Pete in his journey around the farm, after the jump...

Matt Packer made his 2012 debut in Carolina a solid opening salvo to regain his status as a prospect by pitching three strong perfect innings. Joseph Colon continued his outstanding 2011 campaign with another quality start. Todd Hankins rolled out four hits and two stolen bases for Lake County. Tonight's ATF headliner is a former third-round pick who has really picked it up over the past month. Who? Find out...after the jump...

Luke Carlin continued his hot play with a grand slam, helping the Clippers and David Huff to a much-needed win. ChunChen returned to play catcher, while Thomas Neal continued his scorching summer play. Tony Wolters upped his streak to 13 games, and Tyler Naquin won a game in the eleventh. At the top of ATF is a guy who got a surprise cup of coffee with the Tribe earlier this season, and blasted his way to eight RBI on Sunday night.

Jacob Lee and Louis Head continue to dominate the New York/Penn League and are making a case to be considered elite relievers in the system. Steven Wright's knuckleball needs to start knuckling again. Jeremie Tice has hits now in 12 of his 13 total games. Tonight's ATF leader is a guy that many probably have never heard of, but he's been playing well of late, and makes his first headlining appearance under my watch...after the jump...

In another trip "Around the Farm", Tony notes the big game Triple-A Columbus outfielder Tim Fedroff had last night as he was just a single short of hitting for the cycle, and also Low-A Lake County third baseman Leonardo Castillo arguably had his best game of the season with four hits. In addition to them, several others are noted including players like Chen, Canzler, Ramirez, Paulino and others who all hit homers last night.

The Indians got the post-4th of July celebration cranked up with lots of good performances up and down their farm system on Thursday night. Tony chimes in on Around the Farm today to recap some of those good - and some bad - performances, and takes special note of the Double-A debut of Tyler Holt and the smoking hot Joe Wendle in Mahoning Valley.

The Columbus Clippers and Lake County Captains each provided fireworks with no less than eight ballplayers on each team with multiple hits, and every player finding a way to get on base. Ryan Rohlinger celebrated his recent Triple A promotion with a grand slam, while Jose Ramirez had three more hits in Lake County. The star of the ATF show is an outfielder in Akron, who continues to climb back up the prospect charts. Find out who it is, after the jump...

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYBODY! July third action saw Jorge Martinez continue his offensive onslaught in the Arizona League, while Matt LaPorta and Juan Romero each blasted another home run. Tyler Naquin ripped his first professional triple, and Elvis Araujo regained some balance. Enosil Tejeda continued to dominate as a closer, while a rather new addition to the Indians reliever corp continues to really make a name for himself. Rob Bryson was once thought of as an elite arm, and showed why last night in his most dominating performance to date. Giovanny Urshela may not be a top prospect, but his current offensive stretch may turn a few heads. At the top of ATF is a guy who may be the most important prospect in the system. Check out just who that is with our daily dose of Around the Farm, after the jump...

Ryan Merritt got his second win in as many starts at Mahoning Valley. Tyler Naquin and Tyler Holt each had a 3-for-4 night playing centerfield. Both are trying to break the mold of the "Trevor Crowe-type" outfielder, and made some inroads on Sunday. The top player in tonight's ATF is the guy that took over the DH role from Jeremie Tice at Carolina. Nope, it's not Jesus Aguilar. Find out who it is, after the jump.

Jeremie Tice continue to make the Eastern League his offensive playground with two more hits on Saturday Night. Alex Monsalve hit his sixth homer with a multi-hit game of his own. Chun Chen rolled out another double in a three-hit performance for Akron, to join Tice as two of the hottest hitters in the system. Chen and Tice had five hits combined, which equals the total of tonight's ATF headliner, a little known Lake County middle infielder.

Canzler can hit the ball a ton, and continued that with his tenth homer on Friday Night. Thomas Neal is beginning to officially dominated Double A pitching. Kyle Bellows is finding his bat, and Jeanmar Gomez had a spectacular return to Columbus. The top of the heap for tonight's ATF is a prospect in Carolina who has exploded since an April swoon. Join Jim Piascik to find out who that is...after the jump...
