Columbus Clippers in back-and-forth battle against Rochester, 6-4
Giovanny Urshela tallied two hits and two runs while Matt Carson went 3 for 3 to lead the Columbus Clippers to a win against Rochester, 6-4. Tyler Cloyd pitched five innings and the Clippers' bullpen added four shutout frames in support. The win moved Columbus within one game of a .500 record.

Sailing with the Clippers: 4/28/2014 - 5/4/2014
After splitting the week with three wins and two losses, the Clippers have finally started to show consistency. Columbus returns to Huntington Park Monday sporting a 13-15 record and sit second in the International League West standings. The IBI's Adrienne Robbins reviews the week that was for the Clippers.

Coming up on the one month mark and after a rocky start, Columbus has begun to even things out. The Clippers' record has yet to reach the .500 mark, but after winning five of the last seven they are inching closer (.455). The IBI's Adrienne Robbins reviews the week that was for the Clippers.

Columbus Clippers fall to Norfolk Tides in 11 innings, 3-2
The Columbus Clippers stretched the game to 11 innings, but eventually fell to the Norfolk Tides, 3-2, Saturday night. The loss brought Columbus to three games under .500 after the team gave up the deciding run in the second inning of extra play. Travis Banwart's shutout play through 5.2 innings of work went to waste, but the overall pitching performance was a bright spot for the Clippers.

Columbu Clippers relinquish early lead, lose 3-2 to Gwinnett
After leading early in the game, the Columbus Clippers lost 3-2 to the Gwinnett Braves Wednesday. Columbus scored both its runs in the bottom of the first inning before allowing one in the fourth and the deciding runs in the eighth. The Clippers' third and forth batters – Nyjer Morgan and Jesus Aguilar – both went 0-4 in the game.

It has been a rocky start to the season to say the least for the Columbus Clippers. At 7-10 the Clippers just recently rose above Toledo in the International League West standings to get out of last place. Although the team has struggled to get to the .500 mark, there's been a glimmer of hope from many players. Clippers top Mud Hens behind two Jose Ramirez home runs
Jose Ramirez blasted two home runs as the Columbus Clippers beat the Toledo Mud Hens 6-4 Monday night. While Columbus still sits at the bottom of the division, the win snapped a three-game losing streak. Overall the Clippers are off to a slow start, but continued offensive outings like that of Ramirez should improve their fortunes.

Clippers lose 2 games, give up 4 homers to single player
J.D. Martinez stole the show with three home runs in the opener before another in the night cap as Toledo beat Columbus twice Saturday. Tyler Cloyd struggled, as did game No. 2 starter Toru Murata, leading to a total of 15 Mud Hen runs on the day. The Clippers stormed back for a shot to win the second game, but ended up falling 7-6.

Columbus Clippers beat Toledo, 3-1, Trevor Bauer fans nine
After two days of postponements due to weather, the Columbus Clippers took on the Toledo Mud Hens Wednesday. The Clippers hung on to win 3-1, after starting off with a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Highly-ranked pitching prospect Trevor Bauer pitched six scoreless innings, giving up five hits and a walk while striking out nine Toledo batters.

The Clippers are 3-7 to start the season and although it's early are tied for last in the International League West standings with the Toledo Mudhens. Columbus' problems have been inconsistent with the losses coming between one and eight runs. After a Monday postponement due to rain, the Columbus Clippers get set for a busy week. Jesus Aguilar and Tyler Cloyd or looking to continue hot starts, while a handful of Clippers hope to turn it around. Overall, Columbus needs to reverse a slow start to the season.

Clippers fall to Bats, 12-4, move record to 2-7 on the season
The Columbus Clippers continued their slow start to the season with a 12-4 loss to Lousiville Saturday. Columbus starter Brett Brach couldn't make it out of the first inning as a 2-0 lead turned into a 6-2 deficit for the visitors. A pair of two-run innings weren't enough to salvage the game for Columbus as the team was outhit by the Bats, 15 to seven.

Clippers fall to Lousiville, 4-1, after seventh-inning grand slam
The Columbus Clippers fell 4-1 against Louisville Wednesday after a seventh inning grand slam. Scott Barnes allowed the bomb to the first batter he faced, pinning three runs on starter T.J. House, who had pitched a scoreless six innings off the bat. Bryan LaHair drove in Carlos Moncrief with a sharp single, but the lone run wasn't enough for Columbus to sneak out with a win.

Columbus Clippers drop two more to Indianapolis at home
Hoping to get their first win of the season, the Columbus Clippers took on the Indianapolis Indians in a Saturday double header. The attempt fell short as Columbus lost both games. Brett Brach pitched a solid game two, finishing four innings without giving up an earned run, but still found himself tagged with the loss.

2014 Columbus Clippers Preview
The Clippers will return to Huntington Park to kick off the season Thursday and although many of the players will be returning for another season, there will be many fresh faces in Columbus this season. The Price was right this year
RIght-handed reliever Bryan Price entered the Indians system in July of 2009 after being dealt to the Indians from the Boston Red Sox along with Justin Masterson and Clippers teammate Nick Hagdone. He often pitched well since being acquired, but injuries have held him back. Until this year. Finally healthy an entire season, Price made huge strides and also the development of a pitch in his arsenal was all the difference for him.

Clippers bats ice cold in 4-1 loss to Mudhens
The Clippers cold bats cost them their last away game Saturday night when the Toledo Mudhens trampled Columbus, 4-1. The Clippers narrowly missed being shutout, but could not compensate for the early runs allowed.

The Columbus Clippers lost to the Toledo Mudhens in an extended game Friday night, 3-2. Along with the game, Columbus also lost all hope of finishing the season above .500.

Big sixth inning leads Clippers to 7-4 win
After fielding errors dug the Clippers into a four-run hole against the Louisville Bats, in one inning Columbus rallied scoring seven runs and collecting the win 7-4.
