The Toledo Mudhens shutout the Columbus Clippers on Independence Day Thursday afternoon. Columbus’ five pitchers weren’t enough to hold the Mudhens, while the Clippers offense could not make up the deficit the Clippers’ pitching caused, losing 7-0.
The Columbus Clippers snatched the lead from the Toledo Mudhens in the sixth inning and preserved it during the last three innings for the 3-2 win. The Clippers took full advantage of their bullpen, using four pitchers in the last three innings to keep the Mudhens scoreless.
DURHAM- The Columbus Clippers fell 6-5 after going into extra innings with the Durham Bulls on Tuesday. The Clippers rallied to tie the game after being down the majority of the game, but Durham would take the win in the tenth inning.
A double header Thursday night ended in a split between the Columbus Clippers and the Norfolk Tides. Columbus' offense controlled the entire first game which was the completion of the suspended game on ednesday, and ultimately won 10-3. The momentum of the night transferred during the break to the Tides, who shut out the Clippers winning 5-0 in the nightcap.
The Pawtucket Red Sox left Huntington Park with their fourth win of the series Thursday night, completing their sweep of the Clippers with a 3-0 victory. Brandon Workman started the game for the Red Sox. Workman pitched seven scoreless innings for the Sox, only giving up four hits to Columbus. T.J. House faced Workman Thursday night, pitching six innings. House allowed three runs, striking out five batters. House put up a quality start but was still branded with his seventh loss.
The Charlotte Knights sent the Columbus Clippers packing Sunday afternoon, winning 6-3 and splitting the four-game series 2-2. Daisuke Matsuzaka wasn’t able to get the win in his second start after a long stint on the DL.
After splitting a doubleheader Friday night against the Charlotte Knights, the Columbus Clippers snatched a win Saturday night, 4-2. Columbus’ offense boomed in the first inning scoring all four of their runs, while Charlotte was unable to make up for the deficit throughout the game.

Columbus and Charlotte split the night as the Clippers took the first game beating the Knights 5-2, but in the nightcap Charlotte shutout Columbus 1-0.
It seems that Trevor Bauer has found a fit with the Cleveland Indians organization. Bauer has things he is working on before he can make the major leagues his permanent home, but between his intelligence and passion for the game there’s no doubt that is where he belongs. COLUMBUS- The Columbus Clippers faced the Toledo Mudhens Tuesday night in the midst a seven-game losing streak. Thanks to an amped up offense, the streak is no more as the Clippers came out on top with a 13-9 win.
Dime-a-dog night had spirits high at Huntington Park even with the Columbus Clippers riding a six-game losing streak. Unfortunately, the Indianapolis Indians swept the Clippers at home, ending the series with a 6-2 loss, continuing Columbus on their losing ways.
