Captains Sink Bees 6-3, end eight-game skid
Lake County left fielder Cody Ferrell tallied three hits, including a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning, as the Captains beat the Burlington Bees by a final of 6-3. Ferrell now has eight RBI’s on the season. The Captains snapped an eight-game losing streak with the win.

Mudcats rained out, doubleheader set for April 16
Tuesday's scheduled game between the Carolina Mudcats and the Salem Red Sox at Five County Stadium has been postponed due to rain. The two clubs will meet for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 16, at 5 PM ET. Both games will be scheduled for seven innings with a 30 minute recess between.

Bourn activated from DL, Morgan optioned to Columbus
The Cleveland Indians today announced that they have activated outfielder Michael Bourn from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Nyjer Morgan to Triple-A Columbus.

RubberDucks strike out 13 times en route to 2-0 loss to Trenton
While they kept up with the opposition in total hits, the Akron RubberDucks lost to the Trenton Thunder, 2-0, Monday. Duke von Schamann pitched five no-hit innings, but they came in relief of Gabriel Arias, who gave up two runs on five hits over four innings pitched.Trenton starter Bryan Mitchell controlled the Akron offense all day, going six innings of shutout baseball and giving up just four hits while striking out 12 RubberDucks.

Big inning dooms Ducks in 7-5 loss to Baysox
Bowie’s Garabez Rosa smacked a three-run home run during a six-run fourth inning Sunday afternoon, and the Baysox slipped by the Akron RubberDucks, 7-5, before a crowd of 4,208, at Canal Park. Rosa, the EL leader in RBI, increased his total to 14 on the season with an opposite field homer to right field off Akron starter Kyle Davies (0-1).

The Cleveland Indians today announced they have recalled infielder Justin Sellers from Triple-A Columbus and have placed third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall on the Paternity List.

The Cleveland Indians today announced they have recalled right-handed pitcher Chen-Chang Lee from Triple-A Columbus and have optioned right-handed pitcher Vinnie Pestano to Columbus.

Indians pickup two prospects for Hynes, Guilmet
On Sunday the Indians completed a trade with the Dodgers acquiring right-handed pitcher Duke von Schamann in exchange for left-handed pitcher Colt Hynes. Less then 24 hours later the Indians completed a trade with the Orioles acquiring infielder/outfielder Torsten Boss in exchange for right-handed pitcher Preston Guilmet.

Captains fall to Lansing in opener, 7-1
Carlos Ramirez tripled home D.J. Davis in the top half of the fourth inning to add an insurance run en route to a 8-2 Lugnuts victory. Ramirez later scored in the inning on a ground out. Lansing led 7-1 after four innings.

The Cleveland Indians announced their opening day 25-man roster and also the moved to designate Preston Guilmet, Frank Herrmann, and Colt Hynes for assignment.

Carrasco named fifth starter, Tomlin to Columbus
On Wednesday morning the Indians named Carlos Carrasco as the fifth starter and optioned Josh Tomlin to Triple-A Columbus. They also announced that Blake Wood and Scott Atchison made the team as the final bullpen options.

Indians manager Terry Francona announced on Tuesday that Carlos Santana will be the club's regular third baseman to start the season.

Morgan, Chisenhall make roster, other moves announced
The Indians made several roster announcements on Monday morning as outfielder Michael Bourn was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring, Nyjer Morgan and Lonnie Chisenhall were named to the opening day roster, Aaron Harang was released and more.

The Indians announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Adam Miller to a minor league deal on Tuesday.
