Aeros lose on walkoff blast, 3-2
Erie’s Tony Plagman drilled a two-out, game-winning, solo homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday night, sending the SeaWolves into celebration mode with a 3-2 win over the Akron Aeros at Jerry Uht Park. With the bases empty, Plagman, a third year pro out of Georgia Tech, yanked a 2-1 pitch from Rob Bryson over the right field fence for the game-winner.

Cooper shines, but Mudcats split twinbill
The Carolina Mudcats and Potomac Nationals split a twin bill on Tuesday night at Pfitzner Stadium. The Mudcats blanked the P-Nats 4-0 before the Nationals returned the favor in a 3-0 win. The Mudcats are 28-30 in the second half, 60-68 overall. Potomac’s record stands at 25-32, and 56-71 overall, after the night’s action.

Mudcats implode against Myrtle Beach
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans scored four runs, needing only one hit, over the final innings to beat the Carolina Mudcats 5-2 on Sunday night at TicketReturn.com Field. The win assured the Pelicans (33-23, 69-57) of the weekend series, and vaults them six games ahead of the Mudcats for the Southern division wildcard spot.

Pelicans blow out Mudcats, 7-2
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans struck out 16 batters en route to a 7-2 win over the Carolina Mudcats on Saturday night at TicketReturn.com Field. The Mudcats had at least two hitters strikeout twice in one inning from the third stanza on to tie a season-high in strikeouts.

Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Carolina Mudcats scored two in the sixth, and held the Myrtle Beach Pelicans without a hit over the final four innings to win 4-3 on a wet Friday night at TicketReturn.com Field.

Dragons stomp Captains, 12-6
The Lake County Captains (27-24, 58-62) fell to the Dayton Dragons (22-28, 52-68) by a final of 12-6 at Fifth Third Field on Thursday night. Lake County committed five errors on the night, a season high. Lake County also threw one wild pitch in the second game of a three game series in Dayton.

Pelicans beat Mudcats late, 5-4
The Carolina Mudcats dropped arguably their most bitter defeat on Thursday night as Myrtle Beach escaped with a 5-4 triumph in 11 innings at TicketReturn.com Field. A raucous crowd of 6,599 watched the Mudcats storm back from certain defeat to tie the game 4-4 in the ninth, only to lose in one of the craziest finishes of the year.

Mike Rayl has been an anchor for Carolina over the last few weeks, and his unrelenting will power helped the Carolina Mudcats combine on a 5-0 shutout of the Lynchburg Hillcats on Sunday evening at Calvin Falwell Field.

The Lynchburg Hillcats scored five straight over the second half of Saturday night’s game at Calvin Falwell Field to win 7-3 over the Carolina Mudcats. Lynchburg wins the weekend series over Carolina with the triumph.

Mudcats Rally falls short at Lynchburg
The modus operandi for the Carolina Mudcats offense has been to battle until the final out this year. Trailing 6-1 going into the ninth, the Mudcats nearly overcame the odds by bringing the tying run to the plate, but the Lynchburg Hillcats held on for a 6-3 win on Friday night at Calvin Falwell Field.

Salem Suffers Double Trouble as Mudcats Claim Series
The Carolina Mudcats clubbed four doubles, and used three of them to plate runs in a 3-2 thriller over the Salem Red Sox on Thursday night at LewisGaleField. The win earns the Mudcats (24-22, 56-60) a win of the three-game series. J.D Reichenbach (4-5) dealt two scoreless innings for the win.

he Salem Red Sox scored three runs, with two outs, in the bottom of the ninth to drop the Carolina Mudcats 7-6 on Wednesday night at LewisGale Field. Salem (18-27, 59-55) appeared down to the end with Xander Bogaerts at the plate and trailing 6-4. Against reliever Grant Sides (2-1), the shortstop smacked an 0-2 pitch off the right field wall for a run-scoring triple.

Urshela, R-Rod pace Mudcats in victory
Giovanny Urshela and Ronny Rodriguez provided the offense to back Mike Rayl’s effort in a 6-2 win over the Salem Red Sox on Tuesday night at LewisGale Field. The infield duo cracked a pair of three-run homers, and Rayl pitched his 11th quality start of the season as Carolina improved to 23-21 in the second half and 55-59 overall.

Gallas comes through again, Mudcats win 5-2
For the second straight game, Anthony Gallas had the big hit as the Carolina Mudcats defeated the Wilmington Blue Rocks 5-2 to claim their first road series since winning three of four at Lynchburg, April 23-26. Carolina (19-18, 51-56) finished the road trip 2-5. Wilmington drops to 18-18 in the second half, 47-59 overall.

Gallas powers Mudcats to victory
Anthony Gallas found himself in an opportune spot on Saturday night, and delivered his biggest hit of the season to help the Carolina Mudcats snap a season-long, six-game losing streak. Gallas crushed a grand slam out to left of Frawley Stadium, and the Mudcats toppled the Wilmington Blue Rocks 8-4 in a rain-shortened contest.

Mudcats lose sixth straight
Wilmington, DE - The Carolina Mudcats dropped a Friday night game at Frawley Stadium to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 6-2. The loss was the sixth straight for the Mudcats, tying a season-long. The Mudcats (17-18, 49-56) jumped out to an early lead when Delvi Cid scored from third on a throwing error by third baseman Cheslor Cuthbert. However, the Blue Rocks (18-16, 47-57) responded with crooked numbers in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to pull away.
