McFarland brings out the McNasty against the IronPigs
The Clippers did not have a spectacular performance at the plate Sunday night, but they won anyway, thanks largely in part to a superb outing from T.J McFarland. The 23-year-old right-hander threw a complete-game shutout, propelling Columbus (37-40) to a 4-0 win against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in front of 8,505 fans at Huntington Park.

Clippers beat Knights in extra innings, 5-3
The Columbus Clippers won their second game in a row Wednesday night, but it took them extra innings to do it. Columbus (35-38) defeated the Charlotte Knights, 5-3, in ten innings in Charlotte, to take a 2-1 lead in the four-game series between the two clubs.

Donald hits for cycle in Clippers 13-2 victory
The Clippers’ bats were out in full force Tuesday night as Columbus throttled the Charlotte Knights on way to a 13-2 victory. Columbus (34-38) had 19 hits—four doubles, two home runs—and scored in five of their nine at-bats in Charlotte. The win comes one day after the Clippers struggled at the plate in a 5-2 loss in which they had just five hits and left five runners on base.

Clippers turned back by Knights, 5-2
For five and a half innings Monday night, the Clippers were on way to a win in their game against Charlotte, but a late rally propelled the Knights past Columbus in the series opener between the two clubs. Columbus, after splitting a series with Charlotte at Huntington Park last week, fell to the Knights, 5-2, to begin a four-game series.

Clippers drop two to Braves
The Columbus Clippers lost a pair of games to the Gwinnett Braves Friday night. After winning the series opener Thursday, the Clippers lost a double header to the Braves, falling behind early in both games. Columbus lost game one of the double header, 4-0, in a shortened seven-inning contest. In game two, also seven innings, the Clippers fell, 8-3.

Kluber, Clippers shut out Gwinnett, 4-0
Behind one big inning--one big hit, really--the Clippers defeated the Gwinnett Braves on Thursday night. Columbus had a four-run sixth inning and got a very solid outing from left-hander Corey Kluber. With the 4-0 victory, the Clippers took game one of the four-game set between the two clubs.

Clippers fall short to the Knights, 4-2
A rainy afternoon in Columbus turned into a sunny and warm evening at Huntington Park, but the Clippers bats remained cool for a majority of their game against the Charlotte Knights. Columbus (30-34) failed to extend its winning streak to four, falling to the Knights, 4-2, in game three of a four-game set between the clubs.

McAllister, three homers, lead Columbus to 4-3 victory
For a couple seconds Saturday night, the second largest crowd of the season at Huntington Park didn’t know what to do. Columbus shortstop Gregorio Petit had just launched a towering drive down the left-field line, but the fans remained silent, as they, and many of the players and coaches, weren’t sure if the hit was fair or foul.

Clippers offense stifled by Bisons, 5-1
A day after the Clippers set a Huntington Park record with 21 runs scored in a victory over Buffalo, Columbus scored just one in a loss Wednesday night. The Bison defeated the Clippers, 5-1, winning the second game in a four-game series between the two clubs.

Clippers offense explodes in 21-3 win
oming into Tuesday night’s contest against Buffalo, Columbus was struggling on offense. Something about playing at home for the first time in almost two weeks changed that, big time. The Clippers (27-31) pummeled the Bison in game one of a four-game series, 21-3, setting a record for most runs scored in a game at Huntington Park.

Clippers fall twice to the Red Wings
The Columbus Clippers suffered two losses Monday, falling to the Rochester Red Wings in both games of a double header. Columbus (26-31) lost the first game, 2-1, which was continued Monday afternoon after being postponed due to rain on Sunday. Rochester then went on to win a shortened, seven-inning contest, 4-0.

McFarland helps Clippers avoid sweep
Behind one of the best outings by a Columbus starter this season, the Clippers shutout the Buffalo Bison Thursday afternoon, avoiding a four-game sweep in New York. Left-hander T.J McFarland threw 5.2 scoreless innings, pacing Columbus to a 3-0 victory over the Bison.

Clippers fall to Bisons, 7-1
The Clippers’ winning streak came to an end Monday afternoon in Buffalo, as Columbus fell to the Bisons, 7-1, in game one of a four-game set between the two clubs. After a 27-run outburst over their past three games, Columbus (24-26) struggled to perform at the plate against Buffalo.
