Indians clobber Twins 12-6, inch closer to playoff berth
Jason Kipnis fell a home run short of the cycle and the Cleveland lineup had 17 hits as the Indians beat the Minnesota Twins 12-6 Friday night. With the win and Tampa Bay's loss at Toronto, the Indians are now tied with the Rays for the two American League wild-card spots. Texas remains one game out after beating Los Angeles.

Indians survive another shaky Perez outing, win 6-5
After Chris Perez suffered a second implosion in as many outings, Joe Smith struck out Oswaldo Arcia to end Minnesota's ninth inning rally as the Cleveland Indians beat the Twins 6-5 Thursday night. With the win, the Indians maintain their position in the American League wild-card race. Texas stayed within a game of Cleveland after a walkoff home run by Jurickson Profar.

Indians rout Houston 9-2 to maintain wild card possession
With a 9-2 victory over the Astros, the Indians swept their sixth four-game series of the season, becoming the first team to do so since the 1961 Yankees, a team that featured sluggers Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris and won the World Series. Indians jump on Astros early to win, keep lead in wildcard
The Indians began Saturday with a half-game lead over Texas for the second American League Wild Card spot and finished the day with the same lead thanks to Scott Kazmir who pitched seven shutout innings and Cleveland scored three runs in the first as the Indians beat the Houston Astros 4-1 Saturday night at Progressive Field.

Swisher's two blasts help complete another sweep of Sox
Nick Swisher homered from both sides of the plate and Asdrubal Cabrera went deep for the second game in a row as the Indians beat the Chicago White Sox 7-1 Sunday. The Tribe achieved a first by sweeping a four-game series of the White Sox for the third time in a season. Jimenez, Indians stifle White Sox, continue to gain in playoff race
Ubaldo Jimenez took a shutout into the ninth inning and was supported by eight runs as the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago White Sox 8-1 Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Field. With the win the Indians are now just 1.5 games out of the top wildcard spot and possibility of hosting a one game wildcard playoff.

Daisuke Matsuzaka kept his former team quiet over five and and two-thirds innings and Chris Perez gave up a tie-breaking RBI-double in the ninth, as the Mets beat the Indians 2-1 Sunday at Progressive Field. Cleveland entered the game trailing Tampa Bay by one game for the second wild card spot in the American League, but failed to capitalize. Indians down Mets 9-4 for fourth straight win
Cleveland struck for five runs in the first inning, establishing a lead they would maintain for the entire game, as the Indians beat the New York Mets 9-4 Saturday night. Corey Kluber was impressive in his return from the disabled list as he allowed just two earned runs while Asdrubal Cabrera and Nick Swisher each hit home runs to supply the offense. Tigers pounce on fading Indians with 10-5 win
The Cleveland offense finally came to life but the Tribe bullpen failed to keep Detroit off the board late, as Tigers beat the Indians 10-5 Saturday night at Comerica Park. With the loss, the Indians have lost five in a row, including the first two of a three-game series against Detroit. The Tigers now lead in the American League Central by 8.5 games. Cleveland is now five games behind in the AL Wild Card.

Drew Stubbs hit a two out, tie-breaking home run to center field in the eighth inning and Cleveland got away with some sloppy defense, as the Indians beat the Minnesota Twins 3-1 to win the three-game weekend series.
