Even a few knocks on wood couldn’t cure the struggling Indians offense. Playing at Turner Field for the fourth time since Game 6 of the 1995 World Series, the Braves blanked Cleveland Tuesday night, 2-0. The Tribe outhit the Braves 6-3 in the contest, but unfortunately squandered multiple scoring opportunities. Join the IBI's Jim Berdysz as he recaps all the action from the tough Tuesday night loss.

It doesn’t matter how ugly it may be, a win is always a win no matter how you look at it. Except for one swing of the bat by right-handed hitter Drew Stubbs and the arm of left-handed starter Scott Kazmir, things weren't so pretty even on a picture perfect day at Progressive Field. Despite a season-high four errors in the ballgame, the Tribe squeezed past the Twins late, 3-1, to win the three-game series over Minnesota.

Things were about as easy as they come for the Tribe on Saturday, as they cruised to a 7-2 victory over the last place Minnesota Twins to win their 70th game of the season. Indians starter Zach McAllister (7-7, 3.51 ERA) held the last place team in the A.L. Central to just two runs on four hits, walking two and striking out five. The team also played some long ball against Twins starter Liem Hendriks (0-2, 6.20 ERA), improving to a season-high 36-5 when scoring six runs or more in a ballgame.

Even the bright sun of Tinseltown couldn't out shine the blazing Tribe. A two-run homer by the Tribe first baseman and another quality start from ace Justin Masterson (14-9, 3.50 ERA) was more than enough against the last place Angles, as the Indians defeated the Halos 3-1 to sweep the three-game series. Join IBI's Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action.

It may have taken five hours and 17 minutes to complete, but in the eyes of Carlos Carrasco, it seemed more like 783 days. Having not won a game since June 29, 2011, Carrasco and the Indians came out on top in a 14 inning battle at Angel Stadium early Wednesday morning. When the dust settled and the clock struck 3:30 a.m. on the East Coast, the Tribe took down L.A. for the second straight night, 4-1.

Losing two of three to the Oakland A's over the weekend, the Indians traveled 370 miles down Interstate 5 looking for some help from the Angels to get them back on track. Great starting pitching and timely hitting became the answer for the Tribe as they easily took down of the Halos in La-La Land, 5-2.

Things were far from bright for the Indians on the Bright Side of the Bay Sunday afternoon. Tying the game at three in the fifth inning, Oakland rallied back to score four unanswered runs over their final four frames as they took the series finale against the Tribe, 7-3. No quality start from left-hander Scott Kazmir (7-6, 4.39 ERA) and more dismal production from anemic Cleveland offense easily led to another defeat, as the team has now dropped nine of their last 13 ballgames.

Tribe starter Zach McAllister did something Tuesday he hasn’t done in 82 days. Win a ballgame. Behind the arm of the tall right-hander, Cleveland defeated the last place Twins, 5-2 to win for just the third time in their last 12 games at Target Field. The IBI's Jim Berdysz has the recap of an important Indians win.

Hall of Fame manager Earl Weaver once said, “The key to winning baseball games is pitching, fundamentals and three run homers.” The Minnesota Twins had all three working Monday night, as great defense, brilliant pitching and three runs all coming via the home run easily shutout the Indians, 3-0. They say hitting is contagious. Trailing Los Angeles 5-0 in the sixth inning, the Indians rallied for six unanswered runs to stun the Angels and win, 6-5. The comeback victory snaps a six-game losing streak as the Tribe takes the final game of the three-game series. Despite the struggles of Justin Masterson, the Tribe was able to avoid a home stand sweep. Join the IBI's Jim Berdysz as he recap's the Indians' comeback win over the Halos.

And they're free...free fallin'. Two runs and a season-high four errors would be all the struggling Tribe put across Saturday against Los Angeles, as they fell to their sixth straight loss, 7-2. With the offense in a deep freeze they can ill afford to play sloppy on defense, and that is exactly what happened Saturday night. The IBI's Jim Berdysz shares his second thoughts...

Fourteen innings wasn’t even enough to sneak a win by the powerhouse of the American League Central. For the third night in a row, the Indians could not outlast the Detroit Tigers late in a ballgame as they took down the struggling Tribe, 6-5. The victory sends Motown to their 12th straight win, as they have won 15 of their last 16 games. Join Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action.

Fans don’t normally blurt out the name Don Kelly when thinking about the Detroit Tigers. Yet, for some reason, his name doesn’t resonate well with Tribe fans. Just like it was Monday, the Tigers did all of their damage in one inning. A five run fifth for the Tigers capped off by a three-run homer by Kelly was more than enough, as Detroit beat up Cleveland, 5-1.

In a city known for its heartbreak, the main act was on full display Monday night at Progressive Field. With the Indians clinging to a 2-0 lead in the ninth inning, Detroit scored four unanswered runs off closer Chris Perez capped off by a three-run homer by catcher Alex Avila to comeback and stun the Tribe, 4-2. Join the IBI's Jim Berdysz as he recaps a heartbreaking start to this crucial four-game set for the Indians.

Another great pitching performance combined with a few timely hits was more than a good recipe for success Sunday, as the Tribe won the three-game series shutting out Miami, 2-0. Two runs was all the Indians offense needed as the team blanked the last place Marlins to improve to 6-9 all-time against them. Join IBI's Jim Berdysz as he shares his second thoughts on another Indians victory.

It was a nail biter finish, but the Indians escaped and hung on to beat the Marlins 4-3 to win their first game in Miami since June 14, 2007 on Saturday. Zach McAllister had another strong performance for the Tribe while the offense was led by Jason Kipnis' bat and Michael Bourn's speed. Join the IBI's Jim Berdysz as he looks back at the contest and offers his Second Thoughts on what ended up being a very exciting Tribe win.

Resilience is defined as the ability to recover or adjust easily to misfortune or change. It wasn’t easy, but the Indians sure keep playing like it. Carlos Santana took a 3-2 pitch from ChiSox reliever Dylan Axelrod over the right field wall for the game-winning homer, sending Cleveland to their seventh-straight victory. Join Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action from Wednesday night.
