Second Thoughts Game #129: Indians 7, Twins 2
Things were about as easy as they come for the Tribe on Saturday, as they cruised to a 7-2 victory over the last place Minnesota Twins to win their 70th game of the season. Indians starter Zach McAllister (7-7, 3.51 ERA) held the last place team in the A.L. Central to just two runs on four hits, walking two and striking out five. The team also played some long ball against Twins starter Liem Hendriks (0-2, 6.20 ERA), improving to a season-high 36-5 when scoring six runs or more in a ballgame.

How Sweep It Is: Indians break out the brooms, defeat Angels 3-1
Even the bright sun of Tinseltown couldn't out shine the blazing Tribe. A two-run homer by the Tribe first baseman and another quality start from ace Justin Masterson (14-9, 3.50 ERA) was more than enough against the last place Angles, as the Indians defeated the Halos 3-1 to sweep the three-game series. Join IBI's Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action.

Indians come out with memorable 4-1 win over Angels in extras
It may have taken five hours and 17 minutes to complete, but in the eyes of Carlos Carrasco, it seemed more like 783 days. Having not won a game since June 29, 2011, Carrasco and the Indians came out on top in a 14 inning battle at Angel Stadium early Wednesday morning. When the dust settled and the clock struck 3:30 a.m. on the East Coast, the Tribe took down L.A. for the second straight night, 4-1.

McAllister, Indians take down the Angels in L.A., 5-2
Losing two of three to the Oakland A's over the weekend, the Indians traveled 370 miles down Interstate 5 looking for some help from the Angels to get them back on track. Second Thoughts Game #124: Athletics 7, Indians 3
Things were far from bright for the Indians on the Bright Side of the Bay Sunday afternoon. Tying the game at three in the fifth inning, Oakland rallied back to score four unanswered runs over their final four frames as they took the series finale against the Tribe, 7-3. No quality start from left-hander Scott Kazmir (7-6, 4.39 ERA) and more dismal production from anemic Cleveland offense easily led to another defeat, as the team has now dropped nine of their last 13 ballgames.

Twins blank Tribe 3-0 as rookie Albers tosses a shutout

Second Thoughts Game #117: Angels 7, Indians 2
And they're free...free fallin'. Two runs and a season-high four errors would be all the struggling Tribe put across Saturday against Los Angeles, as they fell to their sixth straight loss, 7-2. With the offense in a deep freeze they can ill afford to play sloppy on defense, and that is exactly what happened Saturday night. The IBI's Jim Berdysz shares his second thoughts...

Indians bats go cold against Verlander, fall to Detroit 5-1
Fans don’t normally blurt out the name Don Kelly when thinking about the Detroit Tigers. Yet, for some reason, his name doesn’t resonate well with Tribe fans. Just like it was Monday, the Tigers did all of their damage in one inning. A five run fifth for the Tigers capped off by a three-run homer by Kelly was more than enough, as Detroit beat up Cleveland, 5-1.

It was a nail biter finish, but the Indians escaped and hung on to beat the Marlins 4-3 to win their first game in Miami since June 14, 2007 on Saturday. Zach McAllister had another strong performance for the Tribe while the offense was led by Jason Kipnis' bat and Michael Bourn's speed.
