The Tribe bats were iced by a great pitching performance by White Sox right hander Jake Peavy on Sunday, as the Wahoo’s fell to Chicago 3-1. In the loss, Cleveland wasted a solid pitching performance by Brett Myers, who rebounded off his first two outings giving up just two earned runs on six hits through six innings of work.

The Indians lost a rough one to the Rays on Saturday night by a score of 6-0. They were shut out for the second straight game, Trevor Bauer really struggled with his control, and Lou Marson took a shot at home plate that he is still probably recovering from this morning. The IBI's Jim Berdysz chimes in with his "Second Thoughts" on last night's ugly loss.

With his sweet swing and mature demeanor, Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall may be a potential star in the making and a fixture at third for many years to come. Is it possible that Chisenhall could blossom into the next left-handed hitting slugger like Jim Thome? That's a question the IBI's Jim Berdysz asked and tries to answer....

The Cleveland Indians showed some grit on Saturday night, storming back from a 6-1 deficit to the Kansas City Royals to tie the game at six in the bottom of the ninth inning. It may be September and meaningful games are few and far between for the Indians, but Friday's game was exactly that. New manager Sandy Alomar Jr. made his debut as the Tribe skipper, and the Indians made sure to do their part as well as the team defeated Kansas City 8-5. History was almost made at Progressive Field on Saturday afternoon. No, it did not involve any Indians starter or player, but rather the team’s lack of offense. Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez was dominant all game on Saturday, taking a No-hitter to the bottom of the seventh inning and defeating the Indians 5-3.

Fresh off of a thrilling comeback win on Thursday against the Texas Rangers, the Indians looked to keep the momentum going Friday. Only one problem. They happened to run into the Detroit Tigers and this pretty good pitcher named Justin Verlander. How'd it turn out for the Tribe? Take a look as Jim Berdysz offers his Second Thoughts.

The Indians offense could not get anything rolling on Saturday as the Tribe was held in check by Minnesota and Twins starter Cole De Vires, getting shutout 3-0. The loss puts Cleveland at a season low 21 games below the .500 mark. Cleveland starter Zach McAllister struggled for his third straight outing, going just three innings giving up two earned runs on three hits.

It may have very well been the battle for last place, but there was certainly a nail biter of a finish as the Indians edged out their Central Division rival Twins Friday night, 7-6. The Tribe would collect a dozen hits in the ballgame and already pick up their fourth win in September.

One flip of the calendar, and the Indians have already picked up their first victory in the month of September, defeating the Rangers on Saturday night 4-3. The victory snapped a six-game losing streak and was the first time since August 11 that Cleveland won a ballgame where Justin Masterson was not the starting pitcher.
