While the minor league season may have ended for most of the Indians' minor league affiliates, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers were still in action Tuesday and actually took part in a doubleheader. There were a couple of notable performances, including some solid offense from Claudio Bautista and some solid pitching from Cole Sulser. The IBI's Arthur Kinney recaps these performances and more as he takes you Around the Farm.

It may be the end of the season, but some history was made on Sunday as three pitchers for short-season Single-A Mahoning Valley combined for the second no-hitter in franchise history. Luis Gomez, Carlos Melo and Kerry Doane pitched their way into the history books with nine hitless-scoreless innings and racked up 12 strikeouts in the process. The IBI's Arthur Kinney shares his thoughts on that game and all the other performances in the system from Sunday.

It certainly appears that way after Tuesday night as the right-hander put together a brilliant, five-inning shutout performance for the Columbus Clippers. Join the IBI's Arthur Kinney as he recaps Tomlin's performance and more as he takes you Around the Farm.

LeVon Washington continues to play well at Lake County and there were several other notable good and not so good performances on the night. Around The Farm: August 20, 2013
Tuesday night featured two good performances by players of distinctly opposite value to the Indians organization. At High-A Carolina infielder Paddy Matera continues to impress and has done a nice job filling in after signing as a free agent a few months ago, and at rookie level Arizona first round pick and young phenom Clint Frazier had another big night. The IBI's Arthur Kinney takes us Around the Farm to recap the night.

The Indians need help on offense at the big league level, and one player who may be available to help soon is first baseman David Cooper. He is torching the ball on his rehab assignment in Arizona, and may soon get pushed to Triple-A Columbus to give him a few games before adding him to the big league roster. The IBI's Arthur Kinney recaps his performance and others....

Some guy named Danny Salazar was brilliant again Friday night for Triple-A Columbus. He pitched five no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and was an error away from being perfect in his outing before being removed. The IBI's Arthur Kinney shares his great outing as well as several other good (and bad) outings around the farm on Friday night.
