Corner of Carnegie and Ontario: "Time, is on our side?"
As our resident co-editor Jim Pete takes in his birthday this fine Sunday, he also ponders the great wonders of time. Will the Indians time be in 2012 or 2013, or will GM Chris Antonetti pull the plug on this "window" and move onto the next. The market is a fickle thing, and he may not have a choice. Join Jim at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario, as he ponders whether or not the Indians win a series before his birthday's end, after the jump...

Around the Farm: July 14, 2012
Can Joseph Colon lay claim to being the best starter in the Indians minor league organization? With Jordan Smith showcasing new power and the same ole' reliable stick, is he becoming a top ten sorta prospect? Is Jorge Martinez about to burst upon the scene as an offensive superstar? Did the guy who went toe-to-toe with Dylan Bundy last night, and won, get the top spot at ATF? Tune in, after the jump, to find out.

Around the Farm: July 11, 2012
Triple and Double A both played their all-star games on Wednesday Night, as several members of the Aeros and Clippers played, with mixed results. Aaron Siliga and Charlie Valerio continued their hot play at Mahoning Valley, while Jake Lowery is starting to rebound a bit in Lake County. The guy at the top of ATF isn't unfamiliar with his perch, but it's been awhile. He'll introduce himself...after the jump...

Fishing for Mudcats: "How to generate momentum..."
The Carolina Mudcats stormed the second half in the Carolina League to open up the season, but lost their momentum during the Fourth of July festivities. With Jesus Aguilar heading to the Future's game, and Jeremie Tice and Tyler Holt getting promoted, the Muddies struggled to maintain their high-second-half-level of play. Grab the ole' fishin' pole with Jim's weekly Mudcat's Notebook...

Around the Farm: July 9, 2012
Matt Packer made his 2012 debut in Carolina a solid opening salvo to regain his status as a prospect by pitching three strong perfect innings. Joseph Colon continued his outstanding 2011 campaign with another quality start. Todd Hankins rolled out four hits and two stolen bases for Lake County. Tonight's ATF headliner is a former third-round pick who has really picked it up over the past month. Who? Find out...after the jump...

Around the Farm: July 8, 2012
Luke Carlin continued his hot play with a grand slam, helping the Clippers and David Huff to a much-needed win. ChunChen returned to play catcher, while Thomas Neal continued his scorching summer play. Tony Wolters upped his streak to 13 games, and Tyler Naquin won a game in the eleventh. At the top of ATF is a guy who got a surprise cup of coffee with the Tribe earlier this season, and blasted his way to eight RBI on Sunday night.

Around the Farm: July 7, 2012
Jacob Lee and Louis Head continue to dominate the New York/Penn League and are making a case to be considered elite relievers in the system. Steven Wright's knuckleball needs to start knuckling again. Jeremie Tice has hits now in 12 of his 13 total games. Tonight's ATF leader is a guy that many probably have never heard of, but he's been playing well of late, and makes his first headlining appearance under my watch...after the jump...

Corner of Carnegie and Ontario: Treading water edition
The Indians middling at or near .500, and July has turned into a battling ground to find out whether or not they are a legit contender, or just a small market failure. With Grady Sizemore and Roberto Hernandez out of sight/out of mind, and with Carlos Santana in site and struggling, can the Tribe stop being a .500 team, and become something more? Join Jim Pete for his weekly rendition at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario...

Around the Farm: July 4, 2012
The Columbus Clippers and Lake County Captains each provided fireworks with no less than eight ballplayers on each team with multiple hits, and every player finding a way to get on base. Ryan Rohlinger celebrated his recent Triple A promotion with a grand slam, while Jose Ramirez had three more hits in Lake County. The star of the ATF show is an outfielder in Akron, who continues to climb back up the prospect charts. Find out who it is, after the jump...

Fishing for Mudcats: "...and the home, of the, brave..."
What better a topic to discuss than the Carolina Mudcats, and their ascension to glory. The Mudcats are in a dogfight for first place in the Southern Division of the Carolina League, and playing their most inspired baseball of the season. Jesus Aguilar is leading the team in nearly every offensive category, and turning many heads as he gets ready to head towards the upper levels of the minors. Join Jim Pete with his weekly foray to the Carolina fishing hole, with Fishing for Mudcats...

Around the Farm: July 3, 2012
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYBODY! July third action saw Jorge Martinez continue his offensive onslaught in the Arizona League, while Matt LaPorta and Juan Romero each blasted another home run. Tyler Naquin ripped his first professional triple, and Elvis Araujo regained some balance. Enosil Tejeda continued to dominate as a closer, while a rather new addition to the Indians reliever corp continues to really make a name for himself. Join IPI on this Independence Day for our daily dose of Around the Farm...

Around the Farm: July 2, 2012
Rob Bryson was once thought of as an elite arm, and showed why last night in his most dominating performance to date. Giovanny Urshela may not be a top prospect, but his current offensive stretch may turn a few heads. At the top of ATF is a guy who may be the most important prospect in the system. Check out just who that is with our daily dose of Around the Farm, after the jump...

Around the Farm: July 1, 2012
Ryan Merritt got his second win in as many starts at Mahoning Valley. Tyler Naquin and Tyler Holt each had a 3-for-4 night playing centerfield. Both are trying to break the mold of the "Trevor Crowe-type" outfielder, and made some inroads on Sunday. The top player in tonight's ATF is the guy that took over the DH role from Jeremie Tice at Carolina. Nope, it's not Jesus Aguilar. Find out who it is, after the jump.

Fishing For Mudcats: "Indulge in a second chance..."
The Mudcats enter the second half of the season without their, arguably, best defensive weapon. Can Edwin Rodriguez replicate the heroics of Aaron Holbert's second half run in 2011 in which the Kinston Indians went on to the league championship? Or, will the Mudcats slide into Moccasin Creek? Let's get out the fly rods for a journey into the second half of the season as we go Fishing for Mudcats...after the jump...

Around the Farm: June 30, 2012
Jeremie Tice continue to make the Eastern League his offensive playground with two more hits on Saturday Night. Alex Monsalve hit his sixth homer with a multi-hit game of his own. Chun Chen rolled out another double in a three-hit performance for Akron, to join Tice as two of the hottest hitters in the system. Chen and Tice had five hits combined, which equals the total of tonight's ATF headliner, a little known Lake County middle infielder.

Corner of Carnegie and Ontario: Outside the Box Edition
Is the Indians' season over in June? Is losing six of seven games a sign that the Tribe has finally dropped off the cliff that so many have predicted? Jim Pete weighs in on the ownership and management role in the overall Indians picture in 2012, as well as taking a quick look at some timely issues with regards to the lineup and the offense. Join us all at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario...

Around the Farm: June 25, 2012
Luis DeJesus brought the business end of a eight strikeouts at Mahoning Valley. Alex Monsalve may turn out to be one of the most important prospects in the entire system with his clear, high learning curve. Russ Canzler has actually burst into flames, and Jeremie Tice had two more RBI's. Who topped ATF? How about a home-run hitting, right-handed bat...at least for one night.

Around the Farm: June 24, 2012
Chun Chen rolled out four more hits on Sunday, with three of them doubles, driving in three batters. But he wasn't at the top of the ATF heap. Joseph Colon again looked like an ace, rebounding from a horrid start, but he wasn't at the top of the ATF heat. The top guy at ATF may just be the best lefty in the system, and perhaps even end up the next call-up if he were to play his cards right. Join Jim Pete as he sherpa's you to the top of ATF.

Around the Farm: June 23, 2012--Did Chen hit a homer?
LaPorta must have really missed his time with one of the top spots here at ATF, because as sure as I'm an Indians fan, here's LaPorta again. Ronnie Rodriguez is really starting to turn a corner, and once he does, he may see Akron. Tonight's top spot at ATF goes to a guy that has seemingly lost his home-run power, or has he. Join Jim Pete as he uses Saturday Night's ATF to search for the elusive Chun Chen HR...
