The hope for Ubaldo Jimenez to have a solid season has left the Corner of Carnegie after the enigmatic righty walked five, threw 59 pitches and gave up seven runs in 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday night. What will the Indians do now that their spring training project has regressed to perhaps his worst start since joining Cleveland? Is it time to cut their ties and move on, or can Jimenez give the Indians any value going forward?

It's not often a Triple A team gets to watch two Indians' starters in one night, but that's exactly what happened on Monday Night when Scott Kazmir and Carlos Carrasco both took the mound for the Columbus Clippers. It wasn't a good Sunday afternoon for Indians' baseball, as the every team in the organization took a loss. Jerrud "Sabour-tooth" Sabourin had two more hits to add to his league leading .467 average. The Cleveland Indians have struggled over the past several games during the first two weeks of the season, which has led many of the teams supporters to begin to call it quits on a season that's just underway. This team is just too good, regardless of their pitching questions, not to win more than it loses. The Indians system was showing off a bit of their offense on Monday, as several Indians prospects showed off their skills with multiple hits. Today's ATF will say hello to the two top non-pitching prospects in the system, as well as the two last #1 picks. The pitching played a part on Monday as well, although the prospects aren't as prominent. Jim Pete takes you around the farm.

It's good to be back in the saddle here at ATF, as we take a look at Sunday's performances from accross the system. The Akron Aeros got a massive boost offensively by the top of their order, who absolutely hit the cover off the ball. I close out my 2013 pre-season work with my 2013 preview for the Indians High A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats. The Muddies appear to be loading up with top prospects, as ten of the top 60 start off the year with Carolina, and with another three or four ready to make the move when there's an opening. With an established Indians' coaching staff, led by last year's Lake County Skipper David Wallace, the Mudcats look to bring excitement to the Raleigh area in 2013.

The Cleveland Indians announced today that lefty starter Scott Kazmir was added to the 25-roster, while Nick Hagadone was sent down to Triple A Cleveland.

The Indians brought out the minor leaguers on Tuesday after they got blasted on Monday night, and while they lost the game 7-6 to the A's, top prospect Francisco LIndor put on a defensive display. Zach McAllister scuffled a bit, but Chris Perez returned and looked pretty nasty. The Indians lost the game, but if there ever was a game in which I was left impressed after a loss, this was it.
