The Winter Ball Experience
The winter leagues in the Latin American countries provide an opportunity for players to play in more games and for Latin American players to play baseball in their home country. It gives some upper level minor league players a stage to showcase their talents and other players a chance to make up lost innings or at bats. In a piece that originally posted this time two years ago, the IBI's Tony Lastoria re-posts this piece with a few updates on the Winter Ball Experience for American players.

Around the Farm: December 21, 2013
The winter ball season is starting to wrap up. Most of the teams will take a small break this week for Christmas and then finish their regular season next weekend and then those that qualify for the playoffs will move on while the rest will go home for the winter. Carlos Santana and Jesus Aguilar look to be on playoff bound teams, but whether or not they play in the playoffs remains to be seen. In any case, both were in action on Saturday, and both impressed once again.

Brady's striking pro debut brings a lot of hope for his future
The Indians continue to focus on picking up young, upside arms from the draft to add to the starting pitching mix in the minors. One such new arm added to the mix this year was 2013 5th round draft pick left-hander Sean Brady, and the IBI's Tony Lastoria recently sat down and talked with him about his pro debut and the draft.
