2-run 9th gives Akron RubberDucks walk off win against New Britain
The Akron RubberDucks scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth, including a Jake Lowery solo home run, in order to beat the New Britain Rock Cats, 6-5, in walk off fashion. The RubberDucks totaled 12 hits as every starter tallied at least one hit in the game. After Joseph Colon tossed five solid innings, Enosil Tejada benefited from the late rally to pick up the win.

Lake County Captains blank West Michigan Whitecaps, 5-0
The Lake County Captains scattered three runs across the first seven innings as they beat the West Michigan Whitecaps, 3-0. Both teams totaled seven hits, but Lake County made them count, led by Ivan Castillo who totaled three hits, including one double, and two runs scored. Mitch Brown got the win while Robbie Aviles recorded a hold and Trevor Frank tallied his 11th save.

Scouting the Indians 2014 Draft: Part 2
Over the course of the next few weeks the IBI's Tony Lastoria will continue to post pieces on all of the players that the Indians drafted and signed from the 2014 Draft. The Indians signed 30 players in total and he will have a tons of comments on each and every player from Indians Amateur Scouting Director Brad Grant as well as other insights as well. Second Thoughts Game #113: Reds 9, Indians 2
The Cleveland Indians lost to the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night by a score of 9-2. Much like the Indians enjoyed the previous game, the Reds had their ace, Johnny Cueto, on the hill. Cueto did not disappoint as he threw a complete game while only yielding two runs, but the game may have been much different if not for a crazy play in the seventh inning. Carolina Mudats fall to Frederick Keys after rain delay, 7-3
The Carolina Mudcats fell to the Frederick Keys by a score of 7-3 on rainy Tuesday night at Harry Grove Stadium. An unrelenting stream of hits from the Keys’ hitters paved the way for a quality home win for the team at the bottom of the Northern Division. Frederick totaled sixteen hits off of five Carolina pitchers in just eight innings. Meanwhile, the Keys pitchers held the Mudcats to just three runs off of eight hits.

Akron RubberDucks rally to beat New Britain Cats, 3-2
A two-RBI double by Jordan Smith paired with a seven-inning outing by Duke von Schamann gave the Akron RubberDucks the momentum for a comeback 3-2 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats on Tuesday evening at Canal Park. A homer parked by Reynaldo Rodriguez gave the Rock Cats (55-59) an early 2-0 lead in the first. The pair of runs would be New Britain’s only in the evening.

Rodriguez’s Late Homer Pushes Captains Past Whitecaps
Nellie Rodriguez scorched his 19th home run of the season in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Captains went on to beat West Michigan 3-2. The homer, a solo shot from Rodriguez, was deposited into the bleachers in left field. The win snapped a three game losing streak for Lake County.

Columbus Clippers hold on for 3-1 win against Pawtucket Red Sox
First impressions are so important in life and they’re pretty important in baseball too. Dusty Brown made a powerful first impression in his debut with the Columbus Clippers (62-56) on Tuesday afternoon. He hit two home runs, including one that broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning and sent the Clippers to a 3-1 victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox (64-54) in the finale at McCoy Stadium.

Probably the most fascinating person in the entire Cleveland Indians organization to talk to is Johnny Goryl. He is not a Hall of Famer, was never an All Star and spent limited time in the big leagues as a player, but what makes him so interesting is his long tenure in the game as this season marks his 64th year in the game. Second Thoughts Game #112: Reds 1, Indians 7
Things have been trending upward of late for the Indians.
