2013 IPI Positional Rankings: The Left Fielders
Today we continue our 2013 prospect coverage here at the IPI with another positional rankings piece on the Cleveland Indians farm system. This time we will review the left fielders.
The Indians have a lot of interesting prospects in left field, though they have no legitimate run producing bat that the position often demands. It is no secret that corner outfield is a position of immediate need at the big league level, but it is currently a position the Indians are unable to fill on an everyday basis from within their minor league system. There are lots of interesting players in the upper levels that could fill a reserve role on a big league roster, but none of which that are a good fit in the everyday lineup.
What is most encouraging is the position is loaded with lots of performers. The Indians got a lot of good production up and down their farm system last season from their left field prospects, something which may bode well if those upper level players get a big league...
