History: Langwell was selected in the 11th round of the 2008 Draft out of Rice University. During his freshman year in 2005 at Sam Houston State he tore the UCL in his right elbow and had to undergo Tommy John surgery. After a year and a half of rehab he transferred to Rice for the 2007 and 2008 seasons before being drafted by the Indians.
