History: Washington was selected in the 2nd round of the 2010 Draft out of Chipola Junior College (FL), and was signed for $1.2 million. He was originally drafted out of high school in the 1st round of the 2009 Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, and had signed to attend and play ball at the University of Florida but ended up attending junior college because of academic reasons. He is from a military family and was born in Guam.
