2012 MLB Draft: Thoughts on Naquin and more
The Indians selected Texas A&M outfielder Tyler Naquin with their first pick last night, a pick that came as a bit of a surprise to a lot of people since many had the Indians taking a college arm with their first pick. He does not have all the glitz, glamor, and sex appeal of a first round pick as people always love the power bats and power pitchers, but as you read through you will see he is a guy the Indians were on for a while.

Brad Grant, the Indians Director of Amateur Scouting, discussed Naquin in a conference call with reporters last night.
On Tyler Naquin: “With his tools, his speed, his instincts, and his arm, we feel he has the ability to pay center field in pro ball. He exudes confidence in the batter’s box and has a tremendous track record of hitting in high school, in college and Team USA.
