History: Barnes, 24, is a left-handed pitcher the Indians acquired from the San Francisco Giants in July of 2009 in exchange for Ryan Garko. The Giants originally selected him in the 8th round of the 2008 Draft out of St. John’s University. On July 10th he tore the ACL in his right knee while fielding a slow grounder down the third base line that saw his knee buckle when he turned to throw to first base.
