2012 Indians Draft: 6/10 Signing update
Here is a quick update on some of the Indians' 40 selections in the 2012 Draft and their status with potentially signing:
12th round pick catcher Jeremy Lucas signed his contract on Thursday and should join the Indians in the next couple of days, likely at the Goodyear, Arizona complex. He joins two other signings that I know of that are done (a contract was signed) as 9th round pick right-handed pitcher Jacob Lee and 10th round pick right-handed pitcher Josh Martin signed their contracts on Friday. Again, non of these signings are "official" as the Indians have yet to formally announce them, though this is often because a physical has to take place and/or the contract needs approval from the ML office.
24th round pick right-handed pitcher Walker White has not signed a contract, but from what I have heard he very much expects to sign a contract soon. I would be surprised if he is not pitching and playing...
