History: Knapp was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2nd round of the 2008 Draft out of North Hunterdon High School (NJ). He was set to play college ball at the University of North Carolina, but he ended up signing with the Phillies for $600,000. The Indians acquired him as part of a four player package they received from the Phillies for Cliff Lee in July of 2009.
