In the 15th round of the 2011 Draft the Indians select second baseman Todd Hankins out of Seminole State College (FL).
Bats: Right, Throws: Right, Height: 5'9", Weight: 175, Date of Birth: 11/18/1990
Note: Hankins has transferred two times as he played his freshman year at the University of Georgia but has since transferred to Seminole State College and Jacksonville University.
Jeff Ellis: Todd Hankins is a second baseman from Seminole State College. This is another trend for the Tribe this year, as they are going after a lot of Juco players. Since the first Juco player Sisco it feels like half this draft has been a Juco player. Hankins played at Georgia in 2010, before transferring schools. He was an honorable mention all sate high school player and as a freshman was the starting second baseman for the Bulldogs. He is also our third scrappy player in this draft to go to with Smith and MacPhee, so I guess the front office really missed the old scrappy teams of Eric Wedge.
