Michael Hattery
Columnist
Michael Hattery was born and raised in upstate New York. A fan always out of place, who fell in love with Indians baseball listening to his father’s stories about Jimmy Piersall and by listening to Tom Hamilton entertain me through the lethargic teams at the beginning of the decade. Currently a student at Clarkson University he fell in love with minor league baseball at a young age as all who experience should. Worked as a batboy for the double-a Binghamton Mets and fell in love with the atmosphere and life of the prospect. Mike was lucky enough to work in the away dugout when players like Trevor Crowe, Jonathan Van Every, and Brian Barton were climbing through the system. This experience was intoxicating and as baseball is timeless so is Mike’s love for the Indians. Mike is excited to write about the Indians first to gain experience in the life of journalism but more importantly to connect with and interact with Indians fans. Being a transplanted fan is lonesome without being connected to all the Tribe faithful in Northern Ohio.
