Jim Berdysz

Jim is a 21-year-old journalism student at Cleveland State University, hoping to become a sportswriter/reporter in the near future. Ever since he could remember, Jim always loved and followed Cleveland Indians baseball. Growing up, he would always surprise his family and friends knowing most of the players on the Tribe. It was not hard to figure out Jim was an Indians fan, as he would always wear his Jim Thome shirt with the big number 25 on the back. His passion and commitment to the Tribe have made him into the Indians season ticket holder and lifelong fan he is today.

Jim has been writing about sports since his freshman year at Cuyahoga Heights High School. He has written for publications such as The Sun Newspaper, and was an Indians featured columnist on the sports website BleacherReport.com last baseball season. Besides being a writer for Indians Prospect Insider, Jim is also the sports editor for the Cleveland State newspaper “TheCleveland Stater.”

Jim has played the game of baseball from T-ball through Varsity baseball in high school as a 1st baseman, pitcher, and outfielder. He hopes to one day attend a game and visit all 30 Major League ballparks in his lifetime (22 more and counting). His favorite sports movie is Field of Dreams.
