For a first half of a season that featured so many highs and lows, Sunday's series finale couldn't have ended on a better note. Trailing Chicago 2-1 in the eighth inning, Yan Gomes stepped up and delivered when it mattered most. The Tribe catcher launched a go-ahead two-run homer just over the wall in right field to give the Indians both the lead and win, edging the White Sox, 3-2. Join IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the win from the ballpark.

Join Jim Piascik as he breaks down the truth behind Merritt and Lugo's respective ERAs in addition to the rest of the organization's pitchers as he takes you into The WAR Room.

In Zach McAllister's first start in the major leagues since his disastrous May 21st outing against Detroit, the Cleveland Indians found themselves on the losing end of a 6-2 loss that, because of a 9th inning rally by Chicago, was closer than the final score would indicate. The IBI's John Grimm breaks down McAllister's performance within the context of his 2014 season and provides a cursory overview of the Cleveland Indians' 2014 BABIP numbers to date.

In the early part of the season, Clint Frazier's performance did not truly look the part of a high first round pick. It was still early for the center fielder, however, and the lack of results was not truly a big problem. Lately, however, Frazier has turned things around and started to put up some big numbers. Join Arthur Kinney as he outlines Frazier's recent tear and recaps the rest of the action from the minor leagues, taking you Around the Farm.

On Friday night, an overturned challenge helped the Indians to dismantle the White Sox and on Saturday afternoon, things seemed to be heading in that same direction.

Very few players come along in the minor leagues who are viewed as special in one particular skill. Lots of players are above average or considered “plus” with a certain skill, but few have what is considered an elite bat or elite arm. The Indians happen to have a couple of players in their system with elite skills or intangibles, but one player who has really come onto the scene and really stands out is catcher Francisco Mejia.

Making their way back to the .500 mark, the Cleveland Indians defeated the White Sox 7-4 in a largely offense-dominant affair. Turned on its head by a challenge in the fifth, Friday's win continued the momentum of Thursday's victory over the Yankees. The IBI's John Grimm concerns himself with the causes for Kluber's ineffective outing as well as the recent, limited renaissance of Nick Swisher, the lightning rod of the team.

It was a big night for 2013 first round pick Clint Frazier as he had his best night as a pro going 5-for-5 with two homers. He has really picked up his play of late and looks to be settling in at the Low-A Lake County level. The IBI's Arthur Kinney recaps the performance and many others in his trip Around the Farm from Friday night...

The Tribe was just about down for the count by the seventh inning trailing 3-0 and struggling to get a runner in scoring position, let alone come through with an RBI knock, but the Indians bid the Yankees and Derek Jeter farewell with a come-from-behind 9-3 victory to split the four-game set. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he gives his thoughts on Cabrera's clutch triple and Roberto Perez's big league debut.

Well, LeBron James is still undecided. Or maybe he isn't. Who knows? But unlike James, one star in the Cleveland organization was ready to go Thursday night. Francisco Lindor may be having a slightly down season compared to his high standards, yet the shortstop still looks ready for a promotion sooner rather than later. Join Jim Piascik as he breaks down Lindor's night, recaps the rest of the action throughout the system, and takes you Around the Farm.

Roberto Perez will remember Thursday night for the rest of his life. Making his Major League debut, the 25 year-old catcher's dream came true in front of his very eyes. The two-run shot increased the Tribe lead and they never looked back, routing the Yanks, 9-3. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the win from the ballpark.

Most of Cleveland seemed to come to a standstill while awaiting LeBron James' announcement on Wednesday, an announcement we are all still waiting to bear witness to. But while there was mostly inaction regarding The Decision 2.0, the minor leagues provided plenty of action, including Erik Gonzalez showing more signs of life following a bit of an extended slump. Join Jim Piascik as he breaks down Gonzalez's season to date and the rest of the action throughout the organization as he takes you Around the Farm.
