It wasn't a good Friday by any means for the Indians in their series opener with the Toronto Blue Jays. Loading up the bases with two out in the bottom of the ninth, the Tribe couldn't deliver any walk-off magic, as they fell in a frustrating loss to Toronto, 3-2. IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz recaps the action from the ballpark Friday night.

Ideally this is something that would happen in the offseason, but since he was not able to compute these stats earlier, they have to run now. Join Jim as he goes over the 2013 Akron Aeros/RubberDucks, a team that was filled with high-end prospects like Carlos Moncrief, Jesus Aguilar, Jose Ramirez, and many more.

Despite the efforts of Michael Brantley and Lonnie Chisenhall, the Indians could not overcome the pitching woes of Danny Salazar and the bullpen on Thursday. Even though the Indians managed to make Justin Verlander work during five innings, the Tiger bullpen came in and held the lead as they split the brief two-game series in Motown. The IBI's Jake Dungan recaps Thursday's loss.

The IBI's Jeff Ellis has gone on record saying that he is a big fan of this year’s draft. It is partially because last years had so little depth, but it is because to him this is the deepest draft in years. The Indians have three picks in the Top 40 and four picks in the Top 65, so they stand a chance to get a lot of talent this season. Jeff has put together his first Big Board of the draft season with rankings and reports on the top 41 players in the draft.

For the first time the Indians top International prospect listing is being posted to the IBI site. Previously only available in his book, the IBI's Tony Lastoria is providing a portion of the best young International prospects the Indians have which many have never seen or heard about. These are the top International players like Leandro Linares, Yandy Diaz, Yu-Chen Chang and so on who are coming stateside for the first time this year or in the near future for the Indians who were not included in the Top 50 or Top 100 listing because they are so new to the organization where they have not played a game or have not really been seen.
