Second Thoughts: The sweet life of Zach and Corey
Three years ago the Indians parted ways with several veterans in a July fire sale. Austin Kearns was dealt for Zach McAllister and Jake Westbrook brought in Corey Kluber. Now, three years later, those two moves consummated on back to back days in July of 2010 look like they could net the Indians two key pieces to the rotation for the next several years.

Call to the Bullpen 1.9
Welcome to a special Father's Day edition of Call to the Bullpen tonight at 10pm EST. The Indians are back in the win column after taking two out of three from Texas to cap off an otherwise horrific road trip. Now they take on the defending NL East champion Nationals over the weekend in a three-game interleague series back in Cleveland. Can they continue to get back on track and keep pace with Detroit? Jake and Hayden talk about that and much more tonight....

Around The Farm: June 13, 2013
Despite being on the road, the Columbus Clippers and Akron Aeros got caught in the rain much like the rest of Northeast Ohio, seeing their games cancelled. The Carolina Mudcats and Lake County Captains were in action, though they did not provide much in the way of highlights. Despite the light night, one Carolina pitcher continued his recent push of success and up the prospect ladder. To find out who he is and all you need to know about the night in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik and go Around The Farm.

Minor Happenings: Morimando proving to be a quick learner
After the copious amount of draft coverage on the site over the last two weeks, it is time to get things back on track and back to normal. That means catching up on the Happenings in the minor leagues. In today’s only edition of Minor Happenings this week, Tony gets us caught up on a few things and talks about the strides lefty Shawn Morimando is making and the consistency that Cody Anderson is showing in Carolina. He also provides several comments from Ross Atkins on the significant delivery adjustment Trevor Bauer is making, how Lonnie Chisenhall looks in Columbus, talks of a position change for Chun Chen, and tons more.

Sailing with the Clippers: 6/6/13 - 6/12/13
The month of June continues to be a painful one for the Clippers who are now 32-34 after another losing week which saw the team go 2-4 in two series against Toledo and Gwinnett. The starting pitching has been throwing better as of late but if Columbus expects to contend for a playoff spot, the rotation will have to delve deeper into games to prevent late-season exhaustion in the bullpen. Ethan Day is here with his weekly Clippers notebook...

Second Thoughts Game #65: Indians 5, Rangers 2
A series win! That’s something the Indians haven’t been able to claim in a three game series since the May 17-20 sweep of the Seattle Mariners. Ubaldo Jimenez made it interesting at times and there were still some issues at the plate, but a win is a win. Ubaldo made it through alright, the bullpen held it down, and the offense scored just enough. Join Michael Goodman as he gives his Second Thoughts on Wednesday's game.

Around The Farm: June 12, 2013
As we near mid-June, we can begin to look back at some horrible early-season performances and what players have brought their stats up to a respectable level. Some of it will be simple regression, but sometimes there is something more, maybe a tweak to a batting stance or changing where you stand on the rubber. Two shortstops both made adjustments earlier in the season and are enjoying much better results in June. A coincidence? Maybe. But most importantly, things look good now. To find out who these players are and all you need to know about Wednesday in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik and go Around The Farm.

Cleveland takes series with second-straight 5-2 win
The Cleveland Indians completed a nine-game road trip with their second-straight win as they topped the Texas Rangers 5-2 on Wednesday. Wednesday’s win keeps Cleveland as sole owners of the second place slot in the American League Central, as they remain five games behind the first-place Detroit Tigers and a half game ahead of the third-place Kansas City Royals. Join Stephanie Metzger as she recaps Wednesday's win.

On-Deck with the Captains: 6/5/13 - 6/11/13
It was an ugly week for the Lake County Captains as they went winless since last Wednesday. The team dropped seven games and was rained out one evening, dropping their record to a league-worst 20-41. The offense continues to be problematic for the team and the starting pitching remains a nightly question mark. With the All-Star break approaching, perhaps a few days rest will be beneficial. Join Stephanie Metzger as she recaps the week in On-Deck with the Captains.

Second Thoughts Game #64: Indians 5, Rangers 2
At long last, the Indians' eight-game losing streak is finally over. Some timely hits and an outstanding performance by right-hander led to the Tribe's 5-2 win over the Texas Rangers, and it now appears as if the Kluber could indeed be proving that he's here to stay. With the streak behind them, the Indians can now move forward but not before the IBI's Jake Dungan takes a look back at last night's contest and offers his Second Thoughts.

Indians stop streak, win 5-2
The Indians have been looking for a stopper as of late, and on Tuesday they found exactly just that in right-hander Corey Kluber. Kluber pitched brilliantly to lead the Indians to a 5-2 win, which also happened to stop an eight-game losing streak. Join the IBI's Stephanie Metzger as she provides all the play-by-play from what ended up being a critical Indians win.
