The college and high school seasons are both in full swing. This means we have hit the time for teams to evaluate their boards and start shifting guys around with the draft now less than two months away. When going on a road trip, it’s easy to leave some necessary belongings behind. For the Indians, it looked like the team left their hitting shoes behind the Canadian border in Toronto, as Tampa Bay shutout the Tribe on Friday night, 4-0. There is perhaps no Cleveland Indians player that receives more criticism than Ubaldo Jimenez. The right-hander has been a colossal disappointment since coming over in July 2011 from the Rockies, yet he put together a solid start on Wednesday and was a key reason behind the Indians' 3-2 win. So, was Wednesday's start just smoke and mirrors, or could Jimenez actually be poised to rebound? The IBI's Steve Orbanek ponders in this week's edition of Orbiting Cleveland.

I close out my 2013 pre-season work with my 2013 preview for the Indians High A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats. The Muddies appear to be loading up with top prospects, as ten of the top 60 start off the year with Carolina, and with another three or four ready to make the move when there's an opening. With an established Indians' coaching staff, led by last year's Lake County Skipper David Wallace, the Mudcats look to bring excitement to the Raleigh area in 2013.

Brett Myers didn't make himself any friends amongst fans last night, surrendering three home runs and repeatedly giving the Blue Jays back the lead. The offense tried valiantly Thursday night, but it just couldn't catch up to the surging Blue Jays. Cleveland dropped their first game of the season Thursday night as the Blue Jays won 10-8 in Toronto. Brett Myers was not on his game, allowing three home runs and seven runs. The offense was on for Cleveland, with Carlos Santana and Mark Reynolds connecting on back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning. Join IBI's Jim Berdysz as he recaps Thursday's game.

Opening night is here for the minor leagues. The Minor League Baseball season kicks off tonight as all of Triple-A Columbus, Double-A Akron and Low-A Lake County open their seasons. The Cleveland Indians have already kicked off their season in Toronto, but the Lake County Captains are braving the cold at home in Eastlake. The Captains open up their season on Thursday night, and they’re preparing for the cold weather to come. Despite the unfavorable Cleveland chill, the team is warming up to the anticipated new season. The Akron Aeros will take the field at Canal Park Thursday night at 6:35 looking to repeat as Eastern League champions with a new owner in tow, a new state-of-the-art scoreboard and a new team loaded with young top prospects. Jim Piascik walks you through the team's very exciting outlook with quotes from Manager Edwin Rodriguez, as well as the players themselves.

The Inside Pitch is back for 2013. The on-line radio show is hosted by Andrew Zajac and Jeff Ellis, who are two contributing members of IndiansBaseballInsider.com. The show debuted in April of 2012 and has a heavy focus on fantasy baseball, though depending on the time of the year the show also focuses on other subjects like the Cleveland Indians, the Major League Baseball Draft, trade and free agent rumors, and lots more.

Mark Reynolds hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the 11th inning off of Toronto reliever Sergio Santos to give Cleveland a 3-2 victory at the Rogers Centre. The home run bailed out closer Chris Perez, who blew his first save of the season after allowing a home run to Jose Bautista in the ninth inning.
